César Bona

Born in Ainzón (Zaragoza) on January 5, 1972. Teacher and writer. Holds a degree in English Philology and a Teaching Diploma in Foreign Language from the University of Zaragoza. He has been a member of the Princess of Asturias Awards Jury, in the Communication and Humanities category, in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

“School doors must be open, not only for children to enter but for their ideas to go out and transform the world.” Thoughts like this led him to the World Congress for Children’s Rights, at the XXV Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Mexico, and in 2018 he also participated in the World Congress in Málaga. For his multiple projects linked to children’s participation, he received the Honor Magister Award from the Public School Platform, the Crearte Award from the Ministry of Culture twice for his stimulus of creativity, as well as the José de Calasanz Cross, the highest distinction in Aragonese education, and the Aragón Environment Award 2013. Additionally, he received an Honorable Mention at the International Children Film Festival of India for the silent film “The importance of being an Applewhite” which he made to unite two families who weren’t speaking to each other. And after his 16-year career, he was nominated as one of the 50 best teachers in the world according to the Global Teacher Prize (2015). Among his books, the following stand out: The New Education (2015), Schools That Change the World (2016), The Emotion of Learning (2018), Humanizing Education (2021), books that now serve as references in many universities. His latest book is Sustainable Education (2023). Additionally, for children, he has written an adaptation of Don Quixote (2017), The Amazing World of Bernardo (2018), and Rights and Duties of Children (2019). Listening, empathy, respect for differences, participation of children and adolescents in society, and education for coexistence are the pillars he defends. He considers social commitment and connection with nature essential parts of the integral education of human beings.

Dra. Diana Rubio

Diana holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s in Sciences from UNAM’s Institute of Neurobiology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the Centennial and Meritorious Normal School of the State of Querétaro.

Dr. Diana Rubio was named “National Teacher Prize, as best STEM teacher in Mexico” by STEM Movement in 2020 and is considered one of the top 10 teachers by the Global Teacher Prize -considered the Nobel Prize of teaching- in 2021, by UNESCO and Varkey Foundation; selected from among more than 8,000 nominations from 121 countries worldwide.
Recognized with the “Dr. José Ma. Vertiz Delgado” medal in the City of Querétaro, for the dedication of her academic and professional knowledge for the benefit of humanity, 2022.
Considered one of the 50 teachers who are transforming Latin America, in the book with the same title, promoted by Varkey Foundation.
Recognized as one of the 100 most powerful women by Forbes Magazine, 2022.
Recognized with the Sinergia Iberoamerica Woman award, 2023.
Founder of Scienko Mexico, with the objective of bringing more girls, boys, and young people closer to STEM areas.
Founder of MujereSTEAMDGETI with the aim of empowering women teachers in upper secondary education, to inspire young female students to choose STEM careers.

Currently, Diana Rubio is a Professor at the Polytechnic University of Santa Rosa Jaureguí in the Master’s program in Science Teaching and is commissioned at the National Center for Teacher Development in Mexico City.

Fernando Valenzuela Migoya

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UIA and an MBA in International Business from the University of Miami. 

He is a recognized leader in Latin America and specialist in digital transformation processes.
Fernando was recently listed as one of the 100 top EdTech influencers worldwide by Edtech Digest Magazine and was chosen as leader of the year 2022.
He has held significant global executive positions throughout his 30-year professional career.
  

Julie Eckard

MAED is an award-winning educator with over 20 years of experience.  

She taught English from kindergarten through 12th grade in various rural, urban, and private schools throughout the United States.
For the past 13 years, Julie has worked in global educational technology collaborating with schools and districts to help differentiate and accelerate learning for all students. Julie has created and delivered engaging professional development both virtually and in-person worldwide.

DARÍO VILLOTA

Chief Operating Officer for LATAM and Educational Leader Darío Villota is an educator and leader with over 20 years of experience in education, both in the United States and Latin America. Father of three children, he divides his time between Mexico City and Monterrey, reflecting his commitment to educational transformation in the region.

Throughout his career, Darío has held various roles ranging from teacher to school principal in elementary, middle, and high schools. His career includes having served as a curriculum advisor for the State of Texas and educational consultant for multiple Texas school districts, designing innovative strategies and supporting schools in developing effective curricula. Darío has a solid academic background: a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas and a business certificate with emphasis in educational entities from Rice University. Additionally, he has complemented his preparation with certifications in leadership and educational design, obtained from prestigious institutions such as Harvard University. Currently, Darío serves as Chief Operating Officer for Latin America at Affinitas Education, where he leads initiatives in key areas such as human resources, technology integration, infrastructure, and risk management. Simultaneously, he leads an educational transformation project at a school in Mexico City, implementing innovative strategies to improve educational quality and school outcomes. Among his notable achievements, Darío has been recognized as “Principal of the Year” in Spring ISD, and has led improvement processes in schools that went from requiring intervention to meeting educational standards in record time. His data-driven approach, technology integration, and creation of strategic alliances with local organizations have made a difference in every institution where he has worked. Passionate about education and leadership development, Darío Villota remains committed to building strong, equitable school communities oriented toward academic and human success.

She is a visionary leader in technology, digital communication, public policy, regulation, and well-being. She has held influential roles in companies such as Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, and Televisa.

In the field of digital communication, she was a key figure in shaping political strategy in two presidential campaigns in 2012 and 2018.
In the public sector, she served as Coordinator of Mexico’s National Digital Strategy (2012-2018) and as a Mexican Senator (2018-2024), promoting public policies and regulations on artificial intelligence, digital inclusion, environment and climate change, mental health, and human rights.
Currently, she is Leader of the National Alliance for Artificial Intelligence (ANIA), a multilateral platform that works on public policy proposals, regulation and governance, as well as education, capacity and skills development; documentation of use cases and awareness about ethical development and use of technology.
Her work connects technology with humanity, seeking to ensure that innovation contributes to both personal well-being and social progress.

She is a professional with extensive experience and recognized competence in the field of digital marketing. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Cecilia combines deep theoretical knowledge with rich practical experience across various digital platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, and social media management tools.

She has worked with a variety of companies, from startups to multinational corporations, helping them implement effective digital marketing strategies that drive growth and innovation. In addition to her professional experience, she has a strong commitment to education, standing out for her ability to break down complex concepts in a clear and accessible way, fostering an interactive and participatory learning environment.
Her pedagogical approach focuses on applying theories to real practical cases, ensuring that participants not only learn but also apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Graciela Rojas

She has promoted scientific thinking as a path to sustainable development and social welfare for over 20 years. Expert in systemic change and social innovation.

In 2014, she was awarded the National Entrepreneur Award. Similarly, in 2015 with the National Quality Award. She has been recognized for her promotion of the STEM+ Ecosystem as one of the country’s most outstanding executives by Expansión, Mundo Ejecutivo, Opinión 51 magazines, and by Forbes as one of the 100 most powerful women.
In 2020, she was named one of the 100 global women leaders in STEM and winner for Mexico in the Globant Awards in the Game Changer category. In 2022, she was named an Ashoka Fellow. Her vision and leadership are now references for Latin America.
